{ DAY 5 - “Ten friends you love, and why.”

So I’m going to bend the limitations to this one because I don’t have only 10 friends.  I’m not bragging.   I’m just lucky to have so many people in my life who support and love me no matter what.  In no significant order:

  1. The 7 girls and 1 boy that I grew up with, and have had my back for 15 years.  You guys have known me from the start, simply put, my better halves.
  2. E, A, S, N, JCO, J.  You girls know who you are.  I’ll just say, we do it better.
  3. Mom and Dad.  The two friends who make me mad almost everyday, ever since I started talking.  In the end, they’re my truest friends.  Irreplaceable.
  4. Kuya and Kaye.  I love you guys together.  Give me a niece soon and I’ll love you forever and ever. Lol ;)
  5. Mercy, Angela, Lamael, Venice.  You girls have all seen me at my lowest, and stepped in when you guys knew I needed it.  Thanks for being there.
  6. The BROS.  My main boys.  Always there to make me laugh, and always know when to stfu.  Let’s go Tim’s? Haha.
  7. Dong Nguyen.  Well ain’t you special? Lol. Not really, since you’re a jerk 101% of the time.  In the end though, you’re one of the greatest friends I have.
  8. Cast of DMCI’s High School Musical on Stage.  Truly the best experience I had in high school.  To everyone who was a part of it:  You’re all talented, wonderful people.  I’ll never forget you guys.
  9. God. Always there.  Always answered me.  Never left me. I love you.
  10. Vincent Reyes.  Pretty typical of a girlfriend to leave her boyfriend for last, right?  Well, he’s nothing but typical.  Vincent, you accepted me even at my worst.  That’s saying something.  Thank you.

{ DAY 8 - “Ten people who inspire you.”

  1. My parents.   For them to have gone through everything to give our family the life we have now is one of the stories I’ll always be inspired by.
  2. Elaine.  I envy her strength to be a single mother and hope I’ll be able to hold it down when I have my own family, just like her.
  3. Jess.  We have had our differences in the past, and Im thankful thats all done.  As a mother, shes gone through hell and back and fought her way through.  That takes a lot of power and patience, something I lack.
  4. Britney Spears.  ’WTF?’ you say?  She was and still is one of my idols.  She went through some crazy !@#$ but you can’t blame her.  She’s still walking tall.
  5. Lea Michele.  I hope one day, I can sing like her.
  6. Vincent.  Totally wish I had your brains and determination.  You inspire me to become so much better in everything I do, everyday.
  7. Vanessa Hudgens.  I’m so jealous of her physique.. and hair.
  8. Gino.  Wish I can be triple threat like you, lol, and know have my own studio-ish.
  9. Victoriana Biado.  My grandma.  Shes so strong at 88, always smiling, and never gives up.  One of the biggest inspirations of my life.
  10. God.  He died for us.  There it is.

{ DAY 18 - “Ten songs that have amazing memories, and what the memories are.“

  1. Marc Anthony - My Baby You  ||  The song my dad sang to me a few years ago, and it was when I realized where I got my voice from :).
  2. Kenny Rogers - Through The Years  ||  Again, my dad sang this to me when I was little.  Only, this time he sat me down on his lap, and said: “When I get older, take care of me okay?  And when I’m gone, make sure you have someone who will take care of you all the time.  Always remember that no one will love you more than me.” .. I was crying while he said this.  And I’m tearing right now.
  3. Jim Brickman ft. Jordan Hill - My Destiny  ||  The song Vincent and I first sang together during a fundraiser / contest held at our high school three years ago.  We ended up winning that night.
  4. Fantasia - I Believe  ||   The song I proudly sang at the Grand Finals of Pinoy Pop Star 2010.  I will never forget the feeling of exhilaration the moment I stepped onto the stage.  It was my first time performing in front of a huge, sold-out crowd.  Although I didn’t win, the experience itself is one of my biggest achievements.
  5. Willie Nelson - Always on My Mind  ||  The first song I ever sang on the old school minus-one machines.  My parents sent the tape over to Philippines and that’s when my relatives realized there was a singer in the family :)
  6. Christian Bautista - The Way I Look At Me  ||  One of my most recent memories;  Mine and Vincent’s first dance.
  7. James Ingram - Just Once  ||  I don’t know how, or why, but this is the first song I remember Vincent ever singing?  And I remember he sounded so good, too!
  8. Whitney Houston - Greatest Love of All  ||  The song I sang at my 7th birthday.
  9. Celine Dion - The Power of Love  ||  My parents’ wedding song.  It’s also the song my mom always wants me to sing when there’s karaoke around.
  10. The Disney Medley - Circle of Life, A Whole New World, Part of Your World, Go The Distance, Make a Man Outta You (As performed by WINNIPEG GLEE CLUB)   ||  The song I sang alongside Jesse Baris, Elsa Mutya, Grace-Ann Panganiban, Joey Villanueva and Jim De Castro during our first ‘debut’ concert as The Winnipeg Glee Club.  It was my favorite number of the night, and I couldn’t have sung it with another group of talented performers.
